oem 166's sound the best for what your looking for.. you dont want spacers -so, no breytons
your worried about hub rings and weight with miro 935's,
you had the 167 reps and if you loved the look enough you would want the oem 167's hands down..

you are not going to be close to stock weight going from oem 17's to 19's. no way, the ride is going to be different. go with 166's its an oem wheel with the correct offset so you dont have spacers and make sure the wheels are either NEW or close to new with no bends or welds or anything and you will be fine. you can always paint them to change up the look down the road too.

19 inch Breytons dont look as good in they do in 20's. I dont get the fascination about the weight of the wheels. Do you really care that much about that? And if so, why? Are you trying to be at a specific 0-60 time or something. Whats driving this decision, weight or aesthetics? I have the Breyton 20's with spacers and the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires. I could give a dam about how much they weigh. They look good and the car is still fast.

The End!

weight should only matter if your tracking your car if you want your car to handle and drive at top perfomance work on suspension

I think every driver has his/her own threshold as to how much handling trade off is acceptable when it comes to aesthetics. That said, I do have to agree that Breytons in 20 inch size look absolutely stunning on E60 - I've seen them on your car and John's (brabus) - LOVE it! But I've never seen that design wheel - Breyton or Miro in 19 inch size on an E60 - if you have, can you please point me in a direction where I can take a look at it. I have looked on tirerack's online thingy, but that's hardly indicative as to how it will actually look in real life IMHO.

Why, I think on public roads it is also important to have the most "ultimate driving machine" (pardon the cheesy reference). I think we can all agree that buying and owning a BMW is more about the handling feel than many other things for most - if not all BMW owners. So it does make sense that a person would do everything in their power to get the best possible trade off between style and handling (latter of which being a pretty direct result of the unsprung weight, which is what lighter wheels is all about, of course). Again, I'm not saying that we all MUST get lightweight wheels all of a sudden - someone with a modded M5 and power to spare may not be as concerned about unsprung weight. But with a 6 cyl engine it really does pay to get the lightest possible wheel. Although, I don't believe that a difference between a 23lb wheel and a 28lb wheels is anything to worry about safety-wise - in case anyone thinks that's a concern.

If you are staying with the standard bumpers, then a set of OEM 128s with a trunk finisher would look great on AW IMHO; slick, classy, but also purposeful in an understated way. (I hope that makes sense!)

EDIT: here's an example pic of the look I am refering to, but on a Titanium Silver E60

Its very reassuring to see how many people love my wheels. =)

P.S. - If I were to choose anything other than a 166, I'd get 128's. They are stunning.

My pick would be either the Breytons and the Miro 935. GL with your decision.

well i care about the weight after i removed my m6 replica miros....it was almost like driving a new car. those wheels were so damn heavy, my already slow 530 was not fun to drive anymore with the added weight. trust me it was a huge difference.

obviously i know im not going to keep the same weight going from a 17 inch to a 19in. but i do not want to have the same experience i did when driving with heavy wheels.

If 128s are an option, I have to say, they are my favorites - bar none!
