My transmission was recently replaced under warranty, luckily it happened now because my warranty runs out in a month. Well, anyway, I was just wondering if there is a break-in period for the transmission?
Thank you

Do I have to get the transmission fluid flushed because of possible metal shavings? And what do you think of the BMW transmission fuid that never needs to be changed? I have heard mixed feeling about it.

You can't drive the car over 50 mph for the first 20,000 miles. After that, you can let loose.

Yeah, C's got it all wrong. It's 40,000 miles! Have fun after that!

The last maintenance release said if you do 2 fluid flushes after the first 5,000 miles than you can go up to 75 after 25,000 miles.
