how to turn off daytime run lights?

In the USA, on older model cars (like yours) you can't activate or deactivate the DRL's by yourself. Only the dealer can do this.
I can't remember if an older car with newer software allows this setting but if you can't find it in the settings menu right now, then clearly you don't have that ability at this time...

Hey guys,
I have the same year and model you have '04 545i and I had to have the dealership perform that option for me.
On the newer cars you can access that via the I drive, but not on our models.

Yes it can...Before i updated my car to progman 26.2, i didn't have the option in settings for lighting...now i have the option to switch the Daytime Running Lights through i-drive (even though i don't even use it)...
