how to turn off daytime run lights?

the only way they look like this is when the engine is off. does anyone know a mod for this?????????

you could turn off the drl through the idrive. you could make the angel eyes light up when you put the park light on, one turn to the right from the "0". hope this helps.

i looked through my idrive and my drivers manual. and no way to turn off drl's. i have an 04 545i, i wonder if there is no option for that yr model?

In the USA, on older model cars (like yours) you can't activate or deactivate the DRL's by yourself. Only the dealer can do this.

I can't remember if an older car with newer software allows this setting but if you can't find it in the settings menu right now, then clearly you don't have that ability at this time...

I have a 2004 W/ 27.X progman and I do not have the option of DRL. You have to have the dealer do this for you. Under the lighting menu you can only change the Pathway light time.

Hey guys,
I have the same year and model you have '04 545i and I had to have the dealership perform that option for me.
On the newer cars you can access that via the I drive, but not on our models.

Yes it can...Before i updated my car to progman 26.2, i didn't have the option in settings for lighting...now i have the option to switch the Daytime Running Lights through i-drive (even though i don't even use it)...

OK let me qualify my response. My USA 04 545 w/ Progman 27.x does NOT have the option. I am speaking of USA only and not any other counties car because it is well known that different countries are offered different options and settings.

how do you know what version software you have? I also have a 05 454i and wish to turn off the Day light running lights...
