By "box on the end" do you mean the igniter with the "open" and "close" written on top with the arrows? D2S won't have that?
Correct. The box with the arrows is the ignitor. About D2S not having that,... Im not certain if mine are D1S or D2S, but I was under the impression mine were D2S. Maybe some one could chime in to confirm.

So your xenon bulbs just have a simple plug like the fogs? Huh... That must be a whole lot easier to change out.
Actually, I have the D1S bulbs, with that box on the end, the D2S has the ignitor in a different place.

Oh my mistake. D2s is what AKAlius showed. D1S is this,

D2S is this

The ignitor for the D2S can come off the bulb. The D1S ignitor is stuck on the bulb and cannot be removed.

Thanks! You guys are great. Now for the next question, who do you recommend I go to for 6000k replacements that are decent quality, won't fry anything, won't throw codes or idrive error messages and won't cost me an arm and a leg?

you can contact Trinity Autosports for bulbs. And those bulbs should be fine. No errors or any problems. =)

I got mine From Trinity. Mine are 6000K D2S. PM either Nerwyll "Nerweezy" or Joe "Trinity Autosport". You will be in good hands with them.

Heres some pics of 6000K.

Thanks AKALius! Anybody have any pictures of 6000k xenons, 6000k hid fogs and 6000k led angel eyes on at the same time as viewed from the outside? Just want to see how close the color match is as seen from the outside.
