That's pretty cool. Just curious, would you happen to know if they make higher temperature bulbs? The stock xenons are rated at 4300K.
Hers a pic they are definately more white..not sure about more blue. Certainly the yellow has gone from the halogen lamps. Generally for ?48 I'm happy

Man, I thought I'd give it a try today but as soon as I opened up hood and looked in, it was over. I have xenons so the back area of the headlight in the engine bay is EXTREMELY cramped. I can't even fit my hand in there. Furthermore, there is a big square cover on the back of the xenon/angel eye assemble with I can't seem to get off. I unclipped the two clips but it still won't budge. How the heck is anyone supposed to access their bulbs?? Do I have to end up taking out my headlights? Anyone else with xenon lights try doing this mod?

David, I don't believe it's that hard. I remember someone showing me how to remove it but I haven't tried it. I'll find out and will let you know.
On the other hand, once you remove it, it's not a simple bulb that you can replace. I've posted a pic of the angel eye bulb used for cars with xenons below. It's the one on the right. The one on the left is a custom made bulb done by Soaristo. You should check out this thread in the DIY forum: http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=17482&st=30

So the angel light bulbs on xenon and non-xenon are different? If that's true, then thats stupid. Anyways, I found a picture of the back of a xenon headlight assembly. Can someone point out where the angel eye bulb is? I can't see it.

And in your picture, you can't see where the bulb is...if you look "down" inside of the hole that you can remove the cover from yourself, you can see it. Look at the thread above, and you'll be able to see pictures of what the angel eye bulb assembly looks like.
