The manual mention W5W lamps and I thougt to change them by Philips Cool Blue lamps. Anyone tried this? How do I access the lamps. I RTFM but it is useless for this :-(

Jeez...I wonder if it would be possible to scan this forum to see if this topic has been discussed before...you know, as if you were searching for something...

Believe it or not I've tried that. Still couldn't find answer to my questions; what lamps?(manual says W5W and forum says H6W, and most especially how to reach the lamps...

So why not limit your search to a relevant forum like the "Do it yourself" forum?

The same search in that forum ought to give you something pertinent.

After that, if you're still not satisfied, you could try searching in the parts/mods forum.

Still not happy? Maybe your search terms are too broad. Why not search for something more than angel eyes? Adding the word "white", like "white angel eye" and selecting all forums might help.

Search is your friend, not your enemy...

Well I just took the headlight assembly out of my M5 and tried to figure out the whole assembly. It sure is much more advanced. Was in a hurry so really couldnt do to much with it. Here is a picture showing where the black wire goes into the angel eye ring. I didnt know how to pull the wire/bulb out of the ring and its tucked pretty far up in there. Just got the car a month ago so a little timid with yanking on things.

I believe that that black wire is a fiber optic wire that transfers the light from the bulb to the actual halo rings
