My Ride: 2004 545i - 6 speed manual (July 04 build), silver-grey/black, sports package std equipment (18", active roll, active steering, adaptive headlights), premium sound, bluetooth enabled, folding rear seat, lumbar, 3m hood/bumper protective film, rear tint, euro reflectors.

I am finally getting around installing my radar unit and was not sure how to remove the grills.

It seems like they just push in and have some type of retainer clips, but I was afraid of breaking something.

Has anyone done this?

Did you search yet? I think there's like 20 topics on this subject...

Try this to get you started but if that's not enough, search for some of the others:

No have not searched - I did not remember seeing this in the past - Thanks.

Thanks. This thread show removing the chrome section from the base, but it looks like you need to have the base already out.

As Rudy said there is a lot of treads about it!

The chrome looks so much better, and it's now (MY '06) standard on all E60's except the 520d.
