In M-Tech LCI bumper.

The one in front of the front wheel well.

Thought it might be an easy winter project for a few hours. Paint and reinstall.

Thanks

Hardy, har har... Wise guy.

I was thinking of just shading them a little darker, so they'd still be reflective, but not so noticeable.

From what I've read, it looks like you pry up from the bottom, and push up. Does anyone know if they are held on with adhesive or plastic "clips"?

I would like to paint them off the car.

Do you know how they are attached?

Thanks!

They are held to the bumper by double sided adhesive which will be wrecked when you remove it - so you are better off ordering new reflectors, painting them and do a direct swap. I did this swap on my E70 X5.

Try this thread:

or this

The reflector can be accessed directly on the E92, but not on the X5. I haven't come across any E60 specific instructions, but it should give you a pretty good idea. Be VERY careful of scratching the paint when using tools to pry it off!

on the lci there is a clip that hold in the reflector. just turn the steering wheel in the opposite direction of the reflector you want to remove. Look behind the reflector and press the center clip inwards and the relflector should pop out. You might want to use a flathead screwdriver to press the clip. I hope this helped, good luck

Thanks! It's been too cold to motivate me to look behind the fender.
