Hi Guys,

New on here, just got my first e60 last week- all i will say is different class!!!

After collecting the car i noticed the exhaust pipes looked faded and corroded, however, after further inspection it was only the chrome exhaust tip trim.

I have since purchased the same exhaust tips again from my local BMW dealer but i am having a bit of trouble getting the old ones off! Going by the state they are in i would imagine they have been on for quite some time!.....there are no screws they just slip on, but they seem a very tight fit.

Any suggestions to getting them off?

Cheers

Use a block of wood behind them on the edge and tap with a hammer and move around the circumfrence.

Don't worry about hurting anything.

Should be only a couple of whacks and they'll move.
