I don't even want to begin to add all the mods..

*Edit.

Let's just say it hit the range of $20k...

Ouch. darn mods.
You see what happens when you really look at the big picture. Thats what I was trying to accomplish just wanted to open some eyes. It's a very expensive but sometimes fun game. With the money you spent on that car you could've bought an M5..

Rick...

Actually no, cause i bought my car for (used 04)... 27k, and I know I wouldn't have been able to afford insurance. =D

hmmmm... I love the M5 and all, but I think my wallet would have been hit bad with the gas, insurance. and of course... who wouldn't mod the M5 with some wheels and suspension and exhaust. bah!

I spent more money on my other hobby (photography) than with my 5.
I guess I don't want to loose too much money with my car.

I got about $30K worth of dSLR equipment.
I spent about 10% of that amount with my 5.

I was in that same boat also but no where near that amount. I have 2 lenses and 1 camera now. I have the Canon 30D and the 24-70L and my trusty 10-22 a very sharp lens. I sold my 70-200 2.8L and my 150 2.8 macro and my 17-35 2.8L when I bought the car. I have other stuff but to much to list right now.. Happy shooting and post some of your work I'd like to see it.
