I wish I could have, but it wasn't out yet, plus I got a good deal on the 525.

I put on snow tires last year and car handled really well. The manual clearly says that the summer tires are not safe for winter driving.

The winter tires are going on the car this weekend.

I'm pretty sure my tires are factory all weather, I know they are not run flats... All Weather tires don't come standard on e60's w/out sport package?

My Ride: Ordered: 2006 530i on Oct 1st, and due Mid Nov. 6 speed Manual, Navagation, Premium pkg, Sport pkg, Cold Weather pkg, Prem. Sound Package, Titanium Silver, Black Dakota Leather, Dark Poplar wood. 18" 7 Spoke wheels (style 123), euro reflectors, Sat Radio installed.
Default

Can winter tires be fitted to the 530i sport wheels? Or shoudl one just buy a separate set of wheels and tires for the car?

I have a sport 530i on the way, and was wondering if its worth it to buy a set or just 4 tires if they can be put on the car...

Any one familiar with this set up?

Get snow tires. You won't regret it. It's worth the extra $$. Not only will they help you go better but they'll also let you corner and stop better!

Your bimmer will suffer - my e34 540i sport had dunlop winter sport m2's that were ok in the snow and all around were great tires even on dry, but man i still struggled, even with manually defeating the traction control to get better bite -

I'm waiting for my 530xi but as you can see I kept the Lexus SUV outdoors, and it was awesome in the snow.
I suspect that even with the xi without the right tires I'll have problems -

I love snow when I'm in Colorado skiing but here in New England - it just blows!!!!!!!!
