how do i add a amp and sub

i posted a message few days ago about adding a sub and amp but was told in the boot opps battery side is a amp which is for subs under seat and was given details on how to connect, i have now removed panel to find nothing behind this, im in th uk do they put it somewhere diff?
is there any other way i can get rca and remote power from headunit? or somewhere in the car?

My Ride: 07 E61 530d M-Sport.
No you have the standard UK stereo with no amp. The US gets HiFi as standard and has the amp located where you were told. If you want to connect a sub and amp to it your easiest way will be to get a high level input from one of the rear speakers and get an amp that can take that input.

The Hi-Fi amp is not standard in the UK and is an option - its standard in the US (I know that sucks).
Taking the highs from another speaker may not give you what you want because the signal is crossed over at the HU. But you dont have many options - in fact this is the only one you have and may be worth a try.
