Honestly, I don't know.
Just buy from someone trustworthy. For your original OEM rims, you can be sure that quad_m can help you with it. Don't worry, he's very reputable and will not make it hard for you. Great price too!

I know that the OEM 166s are made by BBS. Look in the back of the wheels for BBS.

There is a discount market for the OEMs rims from respected places (including M_quad here) from around $1500-1700.

The OEMs are beautiful...

the easiest way to tell whether rims are replica or not is by moving the center cap. The center caps on real rims fit perfectly and are very tight and cannot be moved. However with replicas, you can move them around in a circular motion

Then the rims on my 5 day old 535xi must be fake, because the center caps move around if I push them.

Anyone can make a good knock off. In all honesty I'm sure a high quality knock off could even pass by the dealership as oem. I would just by from a trusted source and someone with good customer service.
