Just install the new mirror. You will have to find the k-can (black/yellow) wires in the headliner and run the two wires to your new mirror.

Just completed this mod details online are very little and scattered everywhere so I'll add some helpful tips. If you have a late model e60 and your rain light sensor looks round instead of square shaped, pictured in first post. You will need to tap into kcan high (black) and kcan low (yellow) twisted wires. The closest place to locate them on the lci e60 is NOT in the rain sensor like most guides suggest, but connected to the kgm module located right below the glove box. You will need to remove the roof of the passenger side footwell, tap and splice into the yellow and black pins from the left most harness and route the wires up the right side pillar across the roof liner, into the sun roof controls and finally through the tube going to the mirror. you will need to source the proper tyco contacts to the wires and also source the proper 3 pin male harness to connect to the fla female harness on the mirror. Make sure you put black in pin one and yellow in pin 2 the third remains empty. Tuck everything away and put the car back together. Finally code it and all should be working correctly.

I will update further with some pictures and coding instructions soon ....
