HiFi amp to Logic7 amp questions

So there is someone locally selling an L7 amp out of a 2007 3 series. If it's possible and would make a good difference in sound quality/potential for future upgrades, I'd like to get the amp.

My car comes with:
S676A HiFi speaker system
S663A Radio BMW Professional

I got in the trunk and checked out the amp that's currently there, It seems like the connections are the same. The L7 amp has a second, smaller connector that I think is already existing in my car as well but it's kind of hard to tell.

I just waned to see if anyone can confirm if this would be a plug 'n play swap. If the connectors DO already match, would it require coding, or could I just plug it in and go?

I can post pics of my setup and the ad if they would be of help.

Thanks for the reply, biz. Do you mind if I pick your brain a little further?

I ended up picking up the amp. My car came pre-wired for the satellite radio but does not have the unit, so I have a MOST connection available. The harness on the current amp is the same as the one on the L7 and seemed to have the same pinout for the most part, from what I could tell.

I plugged the L7 amp in and did get sound. Front, rear, left and right all fade properly but I don't get any sound to the subs under the seat.

So I guess I have 2 questions. In the post you reference you say, "In the OEM Hi-Fi system, the power for the mid/hi speakers is provided by the main CCC unit, therefore all of these speaker connections are in the dash behind the main head unit. In a Logic7 car all of the speaker connections are at the rear of the car where the amplifier resides" -- I think that I actually have the M-ASK unit and not CCC. Does this make a difference? Like I said, the connector to the amp seems the same.

My second question is: Is that MOST connector specific in the head unit or can I just use that since it is available? I'm not sure if I need to run a new connector or not.

I feel like I'm half way there since it kind of works already and that it could just be a coding issue but I'm really not sure.

Never mind my ramblings. I just sold the amp and will take the more conventional upgrade route. Still not a bad deal.. I ended up getting satellite radio for my car and making $50 in the process, so I can't complain.
