I plan on getting the 8000K AEs next month from John. Please share pics and feedback on how they are if you can. From the looks of it they are really bright during the day but heard that HID at night can be a problem as in too much light and can turn out to be a blob. Not sure if that is true as I have never seen a ride out here with HID yet.

Looks awesome. Got my fogs in the other day as well. Install was easy. Quick question though. On the driver side did you screw down the ballast? It is really tight on that side and not much room in comparison to the other side.

I have the Umnitza HID fogs when I ordered my M5Tech kit I also ordered the HID's. The lights work nice and bright! I did notice that the ballast seems to get hot, too hot to touch... Does anyone else have this issue? Kinda concerns me a little, as I couldn't really find a good place to mount this. At the moment I have it velcroed to the bottom inside large lip of the bumper. Wasn't sure if this heat would do any harm to the bumper or not, maybe distortion...? I will have another look next week to see if there is a better place to secure it.

Yeah the HID ballast I got heats up really fast. I didn't know this and didn't have my gloves on and learnt the hard way. From what I have read you can simply place the ballast without mounting as they are designed to be waterproof and shockproof. Another option is to remove the headlights and apparently there is a place to bolt it down there. Yet another option is to Zip tie them.

I currently have my left one zip tied down and the right one bolted down to the bumper. I just need to figure out a good place to bolt down the left one.

If anyone finds a good place let us know.

I actually installed mine without going through the fender well....
I was able to get my long skinny arms access through the front bumper duct (front brake air duct), then i bolted them to the lower bumper cover flap.

shipping shows: 8000k HID AEs to be out for delivery today! i will hopefully get them installed this afternoon, after work.
