Wanting to put a set of HID fog lamps on my 07 530. Searched and found a few post on this. Most said it would not cause any problems. Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks

I'd be interested in knowing how and how long it takes you to replace them. Dealer informed me that you need to remove the under body guard at the front in order to have access to change out the fog. Then, when you put the under body back, it needs to fit just right or the drift wind will pull it under the car at high speeds. I am still looking for the shop diagram showing the removal. It is not in the Owner's Manual

John - member brabusw209amg - for all your lighting needs, ladies and gents

John lives close enough to me that I've actually seen him install HIDs several times (some of them on my friends' cars) and I have to say, he makes it look VERY easy. Price-wise, I'd bet money that John's the best deal out there.

I think he's on vacation now through Oct 24th, but I urge you to search through his posts here - you'll find a very good deal on those HIDs and lots - LOTS - of useful and concise instructions on lighting DIYs.

if you have a set of ramps, the rest is easy. you just need a screwdriver to remove the shields....very easy.

turn the wheels and get in from the wheel wells - even easier and does not require ramps. But yes, very easy

I wouldn't worry, just give John a hollar after the 24th, when he gets back and I'm sure he'll fix it right up.
