I couldn't find any posts on this, but what wheels can my 530 support? (M5 oem?) I put some wheels on that may or may not have been replicas on a previous BMW and it changed the ride of the vehicle. There was alot of shaking, and many trips to the tire shop for balancing and alignments, and still couldn't get it right. I would like to know before I go purchase wheels that will mess up the smoothness of the ride.

You couldn't find ANY posts?
Was your previous car an E39 5er possibly? Because E39's wheel hub is 74,1mm and e60 has a 72,6mm hub. And if you took wheels from the E39 and didn't put hub rings on them, it is 100% sure you will get vibrating.
Anyway, sticking with OEM wheels is your best shot to maintain the smooth ride. M5 wheels will fit without problems, just remember to keep the tire sizes right for a non-M5 E60 (M5 has bigger tires).
Here's a list of OEM E60 wheels, pick something from them. Or if you want to go aftermarket, be sure the wheel widths correspond to wheel offsets the same way that they do in OEM wheels.
The list:
