Help with retrofit M5 steering wheel with paddle shift!!
#1
Hi everybody!
I need some help to get retrofit M5 steering wheel with paddle shift ...
It looks like I need to buy:
M5 SMG steering wheel
Two paddles
Round airbag
Steering wheel trims
Multifunction buttons
Paddle shift kit
The only people selling everything together I could find is mrpaddleshift BUT ...
USD 3.300,00 for everything seems to be too expensive ...
Any help or better ideas on how to get everything together for a better price?
Thanks,
Luiz

Hi Luiz,
Here are what you need and the approximate price (different is +/- 10%)
Do you have round airbag already? If you don't you'll need:
M5 SMG Steering wheel $800
Decorative trim $40
Round Airbag - $700
M5 paddle shifters +/- $360
Multifunction buttons $110
Airbag mountng place $20
M5 SMG Paddle shift wireloom $30
My Paddle Shift kit $299 (for Contributor Group of E60.net forum member. For non Contritributor Group, please add $29. You'll figure out what that for )

So we have a total of $2.388,00 against $3.300,00 of mrpaddleshift BUT ...
Where to find all this stuff? I believe I'm going to need all the part numbers to buy it, any help here?
Does your kit come with instructions?
Thanks,
Luiz
Where can I find everything alltogether?? A US BMW dealer might have it all?

I can order those for you if you want to. I have to ask US dealer to order parts from Germany because there is no paddle shifters available in US at the moment.
My kit comes with step by step video instruction from how to remove negative battery cable and airbag safely, to the end of the project. It takes from 30 minutes to 50 minutes to install. No coding is needed.
You can save another couples of hundred dollars by going with regular SMG steering wheel.

Anyway, how can I pay you, do you have a Paypal account?
Thanks for your contact!
Luiz
P.S. - Can you please send me the part numbers if you do have them?
