Help me decide next step in the mod process!
Greetings everyone,
I've decided by next month i'd like to chose and install a new mod for my e60.
Im torn between a drop on coilovers (K sport) or adding on the m5 rear cover and quad custom exhaust work.
I think the pricing will be right at about the same mark so at this point i'm just trying to decide whats next, as i look further into coil options while wagering all the daily driven facts..
this car goes through winters here but is only used if i have to. i can usually use a truck for the winter months or my e39 but they arent always options..
RIght now the car is on stock non sport suspension. plain jane.
anyone on coil overs and daily drive their car?
Any-who, heres a quick pic of whats done with the addition of style 166 wheels which cant be seen in the pics.
Share your input on what i should do next, i cannot decide. Ha!
Thanks

I vote for the quad exhaust. It will be my next mod. I think I finally figured out what the setup will be I will use.
One note on the KSport. I had them on my old car. I worked with them to develop the kit for the car (Infiniti M35x) and I did not like KSport. The measurement they use for their spring rates are very odd and difficult to figure out what exactly they correlate to in the real world. The adjustability of the dampers is very minor. They claim 35 settings, but I could barely feel a difference between 0 and 35. I have had cars with other coilovers and they were great. KSport coilovers are inexpensive compared to others and I felt like I got what I paid for. Just my .02 on that choice.
I am leaning towards Bilstein sport shocks with some lowering springs on this car.

I vote HID conversion.
Then do a PDC addition and swap bumpers at the same time. If my e60 knowledge serves me correctly, the only model available without HID was the 525i -- and putting quad exhaust on that is an egregious waste of money.

Ive considered doing bilstein struts with h&r sport springs but from my understanding they are not as adjustable and are nearly the same price. with the coils i could go up or down with ride height more so for winter mode e60..
my other option was isc-n1. After some reviews ive been persuaded to go towards the k sport.
my other reasoning is the car has over 100k miles on it and fresh suspension would probably do nothing but help at this point..

however pre lci halogen is just that.. halogen..
I wouldnt go as far as its a waste of money. perhaps the pdc is. having half a car with pdc doesnt make sense. it may not be a 550 or an m5 but at this point its mearly about the look of the quad exhaust. I do not want a loud car. A bmc drop in filter and scoop with a custom quad exhaust will give me some much appreciated grumble but nothing like a v8 would.

If it's a non sport then you should drop it first. IMHO it wouldn't look right riding so high with a quad exhaust. I think there's someone selling some k-sports in the classifieds for around $1k obo. you should hit him up!
car is non sport. that rear wheel gap is killing me..
I have heard a lot of mixed reviews on the k sport but mostly good. I dont want to spend 1500-2000 on coil overs. i dont have that kind of $ to throw around right now for the car

Yours, being a non-sport suspension (and suspension seems to be the way you're heading), have you considered the BavAuto kit...Bilstein sports paired with their lowering springs?
