help with m5 mirrors

My Ride: 2005 545i steptronic Silver Gray on Black, fully loaded, smoked rear lights, colored roundels, B&B exhaust, K&N airfilter, 20" Beyern Mesh Black powder coat, umnitza blue angel eyes.
anyone know how to pop out the circled peice? (the glossy black part on the m5 mirror)

Doesn't just pop off - there's screws which you can get to only from the inside..which means removing the mirror and accessing the interior..

thanks, I saw the clips on the plastic peice so I thougt it was a pop out, but screws is much better

How to remove the OEM mirrors and install the M5 Mirrors. Is there a step-by-step explanation of this?

if im not mistaken I think there is already a thread for the m5 mirrors install. w/ pics (just like in post #1) not taken by camera but full detail
