Hi. I'll probably get a lot of hate for posting this again but ... No Pain, No Gain.
I know this topic is very common and I've searched this forum for the answer to my question before starting this topic.I haven't found information that was relevant to my setup. What I've found in my search were solutions for newer e60s with CD changer, Nav and other options that made the install less costly.
I have a 2004 530i without Navigation, CD changer, BT nor Tel. I would like to be able to either:
1- connect with iPod to the iDrive system to operate/control it seamlessly OR
2- connect it to an Aux input and listen to the iPod through the in car speakers without using an FM modulator.
Before I contact the dealership and order the $495.00 parts for that retrofit kit, I am hoping some kind soul would offer some suggestions, links, and ideas on how to accomplish either one of those options in the most cost effective manner.
Thanks.
Edmond
