Ive searched this forum and the Internet for a DIY on how to remove the doorhandles on an 04 E60
I've found some answers, but I think there have been changes over the years because the instructions I've found won't work on my February 2004 build E60.
I've located the rubber grommets, loosened the screw inside the door (thru the small hole after removing the grommets) and loosened the screw on the outside of the handle as well. The entire assembly only gets loose, it will not detach from the car...no matter what I try. I need to remove all four to complete a project I'm working on...
Thanks!!!

smh.
i have to remove the entire door trim and interior pieces now.
here is a pic....after wrapping the entire handle assembly gloss black...but when it came time to put it all back together... i made one fatal mistake. hopefully when i take things apart today will be able to fix it properly....
