help hid in fogs not working

My Ride: 525i
hi guys. listen i just installed hid in my fogs yesterday,8000k. when i was installing them they work with no problem when the car was off just the key on the acc. but this kit i made it fit cuz i got them free. the problem is when the car starts the hids starts to blink off and on real quick like strobes lights. and i get the code fog light malfunction. only when the car is on it does it??? what do i need to do?? need help. thanks

most likely won't work on your car then. you could try using some canceler cables but i couldn't guarantee they'd work. i believe i still have a few sets left if you want to try this route.

what are those???? i was reading up on some other post. u think if i just some resistors it would stop this problem

it's actually a capacitor. it might like i said i cant guarantee 100% it's just a suggestion.

What year is your car? If it is 2006 or greater, changing the fuse from 5 amps to 25 amps will solve this problem. Resistors will also work.

try this first before buying from me. what fuse does he need to change? the fog light one?

that suck my car is a 2005 u think it still work??

I went through this problem with my 04. It happened a while back so I cant really remember the details all that great. Since yours is an 05, it might work
The fuse should be in your trunk (just above your battery comparment). Change fuse number 79. Change it from a 7.5 amp to a 25 amp (it also could be 81 or 82 it changes depending on the year and accessories options) which can be found in your bmw tool kit. If the strobing continues, just do trial and error. You cant mess up your car by using a larger amp.
