I bought a set of used Euro-Headlights with adaptive (dynamic xenon) from trboda6, who bought it from TheGermanOne. Everything works except for the adaptive (dynamic xenon).
  • They do not auto-level when I turn on the car and they stay in the same position as they were before I shut them off.
  • When I turn the steering wheel, the lights do not move (I have tried from both a parked position and while driving).
  • When I set my light switch to detent 3 (auto mode), it acts like detent 2 (low beams on). The green light is solid and does not flash.
  • There is no error in I-Drive.
Do you guys think the motors are broken? The adaptive feature was working fine on my stock headlights before I changed them out. Did I forget to hook something up?

And if I took it to the dealer, do you think they'll service it under warranty even though they're Euro-Headlights? Referring to Ron307G's post and Rix Mix's post, I'm assuming the dealer will not be able to just fix the motor and they'll replace the headlights with US-spec amber corner housings.

I'm crossing my fingers and hoping there's an easy fix for this.

No loose parts. The high beam bulbs were damaged during shipping because trboda6 forgot to fasten them back in both headlights as well as one angel eye was missing. But other than that, everything seemed to be fine.

So your adaptive functions work then (auto-level, move when turning)? Did you get yours from TheGermanOne too?

Dude, what a bummer My Euro-Headlights adaptive features works fine and I bought the set directly from 'TheGermanOne' on this forums. Is it possible that you have your headlights switch on manual instead of auto?

Hey Ryan,

When I got mine from Thegermanone, they worked fine too, the adaptive feature and all.

Sorry to hear you've got some problems. hmmm... you can go stalk Tony (ECF) and swap his headlights when he's not looking.. that'll solve everything. =) J/K.

But, I'm sure you'll get a solution soon.

Hmm, this sucks. I need to figure this out. I guess I'm gonna have to reinstall my headlights again to double-check all my connections. *sigh*

Is it possible these headlights don't have the adaptive feature? When I was swapping my xenons and ballasts, I'm pretty sure I saw the the motors.

Ah.. great! looks awesome dude.

Did you swap sides of the ALC box? or did you have a new set? Funny, I didnt have to do that. I had d2S and just change the bulbs and ballast and kept the ALC unit the same.

Anyway.. time to get some White LED's for the side corners now! =) and make sure u use resistors.

If you find some Super white LED offset bulbs, the P21YW something bulb, let me know. I can't find those anywhere. I would like to use them for my corner, instead of the LED bluish ones I have.
