Help with E60 Fog Light

My Ride: 2004 530I Black/Black, Premium/Sport, Navigation
2005 545I Silver/Black, Premium/Sport, Logic 7, Navigation
Could any one tell me how to remove the fog light bulb and replace with brighter one? And what kind of socket is it? I'm thinking of upgrade it to HID.

E60 w/ xenons isn't H7 high beam. There is one xenon bulb for both low and high beams, and a mirror which moves to change between the 2. Fog lights are HB4 (9006). At least in US.
Do you car have high beam bulbs?
When you change to high beam, the Xenon (it will be in a higher focus) and the high bulbs works together.

[/quote]Not on my '05 554i w/ xenons.
The bulb configuration you describe is how the Porsche Carrera xenons work when in high beam mode. There's a second bulb (H11, I believe) that acts as fill lighting below the high beam.
