I just ordered my first BMW, a 550i silver gray with blk leather, nav, steptronic, HUD, rear air bags, cold weather, Logic 7, sat. radio, and HD radio. I just learned that the HD radio option eliminates the Real Time Traffic Information feature that is being added to 9/06 production dates. I can still change my order to eliminate HD and am considering doing it. The deciding factor will be if the HD radio can be updated in the future to be capable of multicast reception. The additional digital channels will provide much needed variety and in my opinion are the biggest reason to order the HD option. Does anyone have any information if this upgrade will be possible in the future?
