Since these are the only front camber adjustment kits I could find on the net, can anyone chime-in if these are any good? They are from bavauto.com and they have three different 'versions' :

To my understanding it's broken up as :

street/occasional track days

track use

street

I'm interested in hearing people's opinions too. I need to get an alignment done and fix the camber on my rear wheels.

I'm surprised nobody has left their $0.02 on this yet, especially consider all the E60 owners lowered on 20's

These are the only camber kits I can find for this car.

The noise is usually associated with cheaper made parts or parts that aren't manufactured very well. I also was informed by another member that Dinan supplies camber plates for the 5 also....Off-topic, but I just called my local BMW dealer to find that the alignment on my Active Steering 545i is $600, plus they don't know if they can do it on my wheels (20's)...

NO! dont go to dealer for wheel alignment... active steering and non active...its the same... here in singapore.. it cost 5x as much if you do alignment in dealer and outside shops... my car was aligned by one of a guy who knows his stuff well...he align for race cars for the track... and he told me no problem on the active steering and my 20inch wheels at all

That is so good to know. Thanks for the heads-up! I really couldn't figure out why AS was so critical that 'only BMW dealerships' could align my car. Didn't make much sense to me. I'm sure it's the 'right' way to do it, but I don't see the justification on why a good alignment shop can't do the same thing. It's just an alignment. I'm also not looking for the PERFECT alignment as I'm only going to be on the street with this car and not tracking. I just don't want my tires to run out too quickly and my car drifting off the road. I get my alignment done at a very good alignment shop that does it the 'old school way' without machines and they have always been very good. I'm so glad that I don't have to head down to the stealership to get my alignment done. I was beginning to think that Active Steering wasn't such a good idea after several BMW dealerships told me 1. They don't do lowered cars, 2. The 20" iForged wheels will not hook up to the machine, 3. Costs $600!

I've made a custom camber kit for my past car on a mill and tried using some cheap Chinese bearings at first. The bearing cost around $10 but they just made a ton of kluncking noises. I then upgraded to a $50 UK made bearing and it made all the differance in the world. You might want to try to upgrade your bearings and see if this fixes the problem.
