My Ride: 2007 530d M-Sport Auto, Individual Spec (Ruby Black Paint, Champagne Nappa Leather, Piano Black Trim), Media Pack (Navigation Professional, Bluetooth, CD Changer, Voice Control), Sun Protection Glass, 19" Style 172 Rims, Hi-Fi Speakers, Heated Seats
I believe this size is standard only on an M5 for the rear axle (9.5" rims), but for all other E60s the size should be 275/30/19 running rims of this width.... (with 245/35/19s on the front axle, running 8.5" rims)

Actually, the correct tire size for the M5 on 166 wheels are: 255/40/19 and 285/35/19.
Nevermind, I just noticed that Oaisis2007 is responding to inquires about 285/35/19 sizes and he's correct.

i am getting sooooo totally confused.
have tried reading threads on 166 rims..
I want to get 166 rims on a 530i
I am starting to get the feeling some people are running the front wheel all round the car..?
are people actually running staggered setups? on non v8 e60's?
I was at my dealer a few days ago.. there was an M5 there.
I asked the salesbot if the 166's will fit my 530i
got a flat out no.... due to the diff being different and the rim will sit out past the fenders..
is any of this true..
its getting crazy

YOUR dealer is suck.... due to the diff being different and the rim will sit out past the fenders.. that is not true. M5 wheels fit prefectly go with 245/30/19 FRONT and 285/30/19 REAr are prefect for the set up and the handling is good.I even had 275/35/20 FRONt and 315/30/20 REAR for my X5
