My Ride: 07 BMW 525i Premium Package, Xenon Lighting Package, manual Transmission. Titanium Grey, 20% Tint around the back, 70% V-Kool on front. Planned mods: Style 71 wheels with Toyo Proxy 4 tires, Sachs suspension upgrade, upgraded stereo, and many more to come.

If so, how is the ride quality, and would you recommend it?
I got my 07 525i w/o sport package, but really like the 18" 124 style rim on the 550 sport package. I figure if I sell my near new 17" rims/tires and pay the difference for the 18, it shouldn't cost too much. But how does the stagger setup work on the non sport suspension (and the run flats of the 18" rims)?
I searched and read quite a bit but didn't see anyone doing it, but would thought this shouldn't be all that uncommon right?

Also consider getting the eibach springs to lower it, would this setup works well with the 18"?

Thanks for any comments/suggestions.

My Ride: 535d Sport, carbon black, media pack, visibility pack, grey leather, heated seats, sun protection glass, voice control, Eibach ProKit, 19" 166 style wheels, e-maps ECU remap to 325hp and 640NM, top speed limiter removed

swapping the wheels will not pose the slightest problem to your SE suspension, apart from making a look too high with the 18's on. The Eibach ProKit works excellent with the E60 suspension. It doesn't really make the ride harder, but still greatly reduces body roll, as these springs are progressively wound.

On the matter of the runflats, it also depends which brand is on. The Goodyear NCT5's are rather comfortable compared to the brickstones or the Dunlop. So if you have a choice, I'd spec the GY.

My Ride: My ex-ride: EU '08 LCI 520dA. Space Grey, Sport Seats in Black Leather/Fabric Anthracite, Sport Steering Wheel, A/C with Extended Features, Hi-Fi Speakers, Cup Holders, Cruise with Braking function, Folding Rear Seats, Xenons, Park Distance Control.

No problem, what so ever!
You can even go for 19" wheels, like the Styling 172' in the pic,
or even better, the Styling 166.

I have Styling 123 wheels on a standard suspension car.
As you can see the car don't look higher at all, only more harmonious.

But the RF tyres are not good!
They are too hard (steel belts) and weigh too much.

The knowledge I have today;
go for GoodYear F1's.

Absolutely no problem.

I have 19inch style 128's on my 530d SE very happy with them.

Obviously the car sits a little higher than an msport with the same rims, but I think it still looks and rides well.
