I heard it doesn't expand or contract because of temperature changes. Have you guys tried it?

not worth the 75 bucks dealers wanna charge

Don't bother, it isn't THAT much hassle to check your pressures every month is it? Nitrogen isn't affected by temperature as much as normal air and also it doesn't leak out as much either. With normal air you should check your pressures once a month to maintain consistency, but with nitrogen you don't have to. If the cost is $75, as our other poster said, it is easier and cheaper to just continue to check the pressure.

I was going to try and fill my tires with hydrogen to reduce unsprung weight :stupid: ... and bring a whole new meaning to "light 'em up!"

If you are in US and have a Costco near you Nitrogen for the tires is free, why pay $75. The guy that fills the nitrogen at the costco tire center does not check for the costco membership, so you just go in there and ask him/her to fill nitrogen in the tires.

^ can anyone confirm this?

Costco in Canada has the same service if your tires are purchased from them the nitrogen is free whenever needed. In the extreme cold temps we get sometimes with regular "air" the tpms sensors will go off, but the nitrogen fill prevents the faulse alarms.
