I have read on here that some people have a difficult time fitting the M5 front bumper onto their e60 without changing the fenders. I want a real M5 front bumper to fit a Hartge front spoiler lip on to it. My question If I don't use a real M5 front bumper, but just a MTech front bumper--- will the Hartge front spoiler lip fit? Here are some pics that I found with the Hartge front spoiler lip on a M5 and also a rear skirt (this is not a problem because the M5 rear bumper can be place on the e60 without problem). If any of you have thought about doing this or have done any of your own research about this topic please let me know. thanks

Those wheels are Hartge Classic 2.
schio, That Hartge splitter will not be a direct fit to the M Tech front spoiler. If you look at the close up picture, the extension under the brake cooling duct is angled to the right whereas on the M Tech, that part is angled to the left. I had originally wanted this Hartge splitter but received feedback from them that they weren't making one for the M Tech. However, I found that you can get a replica version from Japan that is made for the M Tech. I've attached the pictures below. I just forgot what company. Attachment 27507 Attachment 27508 |
Hmm... i have a random question. Is it called a front bumper spoiler or a splitter? Back in the evo days, we'd just call it a splitter.

It's a splitter but some call it a spoiler lip...

I was about to post the same message. Schio, you're ahead of me :)
That M5 front with Hartge looks a killer, doesnt it? EuroCarFan, your m-tech front with hamann splitter looks very nice too. Saw it at the last socal meet. |
Thanks Eko. I was thinking of getting the Hartge splitter for a while before getting the Hamann. I had talked to Tim at EuroRev in Gardena and he had said that he could get the replica Hartge splitter shown above from Japan but after shipping it was almost $1K.
