Solarstone

I know this problem was already mentioned on this site. But i didn't get a clear answer. what exactly I need to replace the headlights and will they work afterthat.
So i have a normal E60 2005 525D with a halogen lights. Today I've installed a xenon lights, as I expected the xenon didn't work. So my second step was to go to a dealer and to reprogram the computer so it could recognize a xenon lights. But when i called them, they told me that there could be some additional problems. I called to unofficial dealers thay've told me that everything should be ok.
I would really apreciate if someone could give me a direct answer.
