My Ride: 2007 525I
Hello, everybody. I have an 07 525i I was thinking about changing my shocks to h&r but I don't know if I have self leveling suspension on my car. Because I think you can't put h&r springs on a car with self leveling suspension is this true. So i was simply wondering if I have self leveling suspension or not? Thank you for your responses and time.

My Ride: See sig :)
I dont think 5 series came with self level... If it did, it will only be on the rear... So when you buy any spring kit, they will send the fronts, and the back you can get lowered via DIS at your local bmw dealership

I have the same questions for my non-sport 2008 550i, how do i know if i have self-leveling suspension? I do hear the hissing noise from the suspension when i unlock. The dealer quote is under $1500 for H & R springs installed. Which will lower the car about 1.5". What is DIS..??
Thanks
Thanks

My Ride: F10 M5
Model Year: 2013
The USA models do not have self leveling
We can do $289 shipped for the 550i and $245 installed with 4 wheel alignment (if you are local).
For the 525i we can do $269 shipped.
Thank you.

One needs to change the OEM shocks also if you want to install H&R springs. The original shocks don't work well with lowered springs. Check Roundel's Tech Talk.
