I have a non sport e60 not sure if i really want to go with race springs or super sport suspension. Im quite torn, i dont want my ride to suffer but i definately love icemans car look, i checked bustas car and i liked it but didnt really know if it looked that great compared toa 2" drop, no offense busta i love your car, its awesome but im just playing out the odds, i noticed the research that busta did and perhaps its best to keep it at suport springs just wanted to get some opinonis

1.4 in the front 1.2 in the back i beleive for suport sports
getting a great deal at 225$

race springs i beleive are 2" rear and front

I have a set of H&R sport spring use it for less than 5-600 miles...and I decided to go with coilver. Let me know if you are interested.

I will let it go for $200 shipped, they are like brand new, I still have the original box, with warranty card and all...

also, I have E60 without the sport package, here is the link you can see what's my car looks like after the drop with H&R spport spring.
You can see before and after the drop pics with the link below...

Keep in mind with Race springs + 20" wheels you would most likely have to roll your fronts and rears. One thing I wanted to add regarding ride quality...it has suffered a great deal with just my sports but that's due to my agressive style of driving.

Once I roll my fronts ride quality should improve somewhat. I will probably end up removing my 245/35/20 fronts and using 245/30/20 in the future due to the drop.

There's a ton of variables but imo driving style plays a major role.

Alan,

The drop seems to be nice, how's the ride? I'm worry of spring upgrade w/o the shocks then the ride get bumpy. I wonder if the same spring will work on XI model too?

The ride is fine. Of course is a little harder than before. Is not as comfortable after the drop, since H&R have a higer spring rate.

Would everyone agree that H&R has a bigger spring rate than Eighbach? i guess meaning that it bounces more?

My experience w/ Eibach, when I bought a set of Eibach Pro Kit (Progressive rate spring + Koni shocks) for my Brother's E36 320 back on '96/'97 and the ride seems to be nice & solid, back then I was afraid it'll be hard like when started I modding '88 & '90 E30 M3 way back but turned out to be very good ride. Maybe H&R bounces more or maybe w/ matching shocks will not so bad... I'm not sure...
