I think i got screwed by member blkms1, not sure...

I bought these from him
http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=35813

he bought these from ak47si
http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=...mp;#entry373277

blkms1 said that they will fit on all e60s just not the M5 and gave the serial number for the race springs which are the same for both the 530 and 545...but ak47si says its sports springs and only for 545i.

I already paid to get them installed!!!!

Well if the serial number is 50460-88, it's race springs which will lower either 530, 545, and 550i by 2 inches all around.

.08 more than sport. So if you are running 20's you probably will rub.

I'm more worried right now that i have the 545i sports springs installed now instead of the 530i sports springs. I can't check the serial number since its already installed, but if you look in the pic below it says 29255 which corresponds to sports springs.

The race springs would have fit either one, the sports springs seem to be model specific

For 530i Sport: 29255-1
For 530i Sport: 50460

You are fine. I guess those are sport springs. Whoever said they were race was on crack. Race springs part # are completely different than what you supplied.

I wouldn't worry about it. As long as you are driving fine and everything seems to be good.

Crap, I'm pretty sure i have the 545i sports springs, the box says 50460 which correlate to the 545i sports springs.. what the big difference between the two springs

sports springs for 530i : 29255-1
sports springs for 545i : 50460
race springs for 530i and 545i :50460-88

whats the real difference between the 530i and 545i springs??

The box not be the original box. You have to contact ak to find out.

The real difference is compression ratio. The 545i is a hippo compared to the 530, so the 545 spring is stiffer. I really don't know what, if any, side effects of running 545 springs on a 530.

easy way to solve this.. race springs are only in red.. the sport springs are in black only well the graphite look.. now the question is do you have 525-530 springs or 545-550 springs.. there is a diff. the 545-550 springs are a bit stiffer cause they hold more weight and in your cause thats a bad thing cause it won't drop you as much as the springs ment for the 525-530.. I hate to say this but you got kinda screwed.. ak47 sold them lagit.. the other guy didn't.. btw retail on sport springs are like 250 this guys a dam idiot

Yeah i got screwed, live and learn...i'll live with it if the only difference is the drop, my car is still lower than if i would have stuck with my stock sports suspension springs. I was just worried it would ruin my car.

Hey,

SInce I sold this spring to blks, my post originally said it only fit 545i w/0 sport only, I am pretty sure blks try to screw you up. I was wondering why he is selling the spring on the forum again after I sold to him,,,,How much did you buy it for?
