I currently have Eibach Sport Springs (1.2in fr&rr), this was the only available lowering springs when i got my car (Febuary 2004). I don't like how my car sits w/ the Eibachs, I'm in the process of replacing them and would like to get some opinions.
I'm thinking of getting the H&R Race Springs w/ 2.0in drop fr&rr(are they available?), but rubbing problems concerns me, anyone here w/ these springs? any rubbing?

I have H&R coilover shocks on mine so I can lower it more. But you cant really lower to much on the fronts cuz it'll rub when you turn while going up a driveway or turning while hitting dips. Rubbing the front fenders are no good for it bends the arc of the fenders. The rears was rubbing too, so I rolled my fenders were it was rubbing. now my rears are perfect. but fronts, i had to raise it a little. Actually, it's raised to the highest setting on the fronts. But since I have a heavy 545i, it's still low. Here's a pic.

Your set up is awesome!!
I was also thinking of getting the coilovers but i'm going to use up all my budget for the M-Tech body kit, so i have to settle w/ the springs for now.

H&R race springs are not available. They are still in evelopment. There is pricing on it and there is a part number however they are not available for purchase. I would've had them a long time ago if they were. Call them, you'll see. i have H&R sports and have to live with it because im not spending 1300 on coilovers, but ruffryder, your car looks AWESOME with them...
just a note, i dont know if it's because the wheels were custom made, but i don't rub AT ALL. Im' talking about having 5 people in my car and going over a railroad crossing with out a single touch. One of them being my 350 pound father-in-law lol.

I seriously think the whole fucking forums would love to have those damn race springs. I dont know why H&R is taking FOREVER to make those damn things. Looking at these pics, if H&R does not make a race spring by next week then im cutting some coils off that Sport spring.
H&R WILL NEVER MAKE THEM I BET. THOSE ASSHOLES
