Just recieved my coil overs today they look like they will be a great addition to a already great car. I still have yet to get a difinative answer on the warrenty issue will it void my warrenty? What is the height of the sport package vs the non sport i love the way the sports sit they are perfect and i want that same look. Also do you think the dealer would install the kit for me i did not think so. And does anyone have any experience with H&R coilovers or a lowered e60 on this board?

Your dealer might install. Why not get the sport suspension for your car through your dealer? Maybe this option isn't a possibility for some reason. Your warranty will not be automatically voided. Technically, you warranty can only be voided if an after-market part is known to have caused the failure of a factory part. The bad news is that it is not unusual to be told that an after-market part was at fault whether or not it could be shown definitively to have caused the problem. Under these conditions, you have a problem unless you want to spend your life and likely a wad trying to fight the decision not to honor your warranty on the failed part. Exceptionally, some after-market parts suppliers have warranties that take care of such issues. Dinan's is the best, and some are not good at all. I won't do anything to my car, other than an exhaust, that is not Dinan. I even had my dealer install my exhaust to let them know what I was doing up front and to get their assuance that there would not be a warranty problem. Of course, they aren't bound by the assurance I received.

Don't have the dealer install the coilovers. Dealer rates are astronomically overpriced. Try to find a good aftermarket tuner/shop in your area.

Coilovers will, at most, only affect the BMW warranty on your stock suspension setup (e.g. springs/shocks and maybe your ARS), but like donv said above, the dealer must prove that the H&R actually caused whatever problem you are trying to claim warranty coverage on.

H&R = quality products. Can't go wrong with.

Enjoy.

I would have loved to get the kw coilovers, but the cheapest that i could find the was about 600 dollars more could not justify that in the buget that totaled about 2100 dollars then installation about 400 then another alignment 100. And as far as the rusties i really dont plan on adjusting the height up and down pretty much set and forget. If bilstien had the suspension out i would had perferably gotten theres as that is the setup on my e34 bav auto springs and bilstien shocks. what are the bad reviews that you have heard?
