Dumb question but I'm replacing my front tires and I'm debating just getting the intended 255's in the front instead of 245's like I have to prevent rubbing. Will they rub off 255's? I mean, right now I can put my hand on the sidewall and still feel some clearance with the fender. I'm not sure that 255's would even rub but it would sure look better from the front (more aggressive / wider) and also be the intended size tire for the rim.
Anyone experience a 255 tire on a non-M E60 and see what happened?

most here seem to get 255/30 when getting 20's or bigger
since u have 19s 35 may work
im sure u know that the 255 = width of tire and 30 = percent of width
if ur good with numbers then u can calculate what is passable on ur ride
:l
if not then this may help

But why in earth would you get 255's front?
Nothing good comes out of it, not even looks.

255s will rub on stock e60 front fenders. You need to run 245s on stock e60 front fenders.
I had to go to 255s after changing to the e60 M5 front fenders, because the 245s looked way to small on the wider M5 front Fenders. (SEE BELOW). That pic was taken with the 245s before I changed over to the 255s that I am running now.
Hope this helps!
