i would like to replace my trunk and hood with aftermarket ones and paint them to match the car.
does anybody know how is the fitment , what is the difference between trinity hood and one found on ebay , is it the same stuff , knock offs.
i respect the reputation of Nerwyl , but $350 over ebay price is bit high to overpay if this is the same product.
from the pic i do not see the difference , but on the trinity website they say it is version II different from ebay.

i'm guessing version 2 fits better and requires less body work to get it to fit -- something you cannot see from a picture.

that's not true. there are holes drilled in the hood/trunk. you most likely use the OE hardware to install so if a hole is drilled incorrectly there can be issues.

trust me, it's easy to install but fitment can suck sometimes.

Michael is correct...Version 2 has better fitment...The first version is horrible....The second one is better but not perfect...Like the old saying goes, You get what you pay for!

2nd pic on this thread shows the hood on my e60 at bimmerfest: https://5series.net/forums/topic/990...mer-fest-2010/

there are no fitment issues, and there werent any when it was on Joe's past 545 either. same with the CSL style trunk, and we havent had any reports from our customers that we've sold it to concerning the fitment
