hey,
anyone replaced their oem grill w/ either the black shadow or carbon fiber type? if so, any pic's (preferrably on a black e60)...
also, i thought i read somewhere that the grill on the standard e60 was different from that on the m-aero kit and that they werent interchangeable? any truth to that or maybe i had it confused w/ the m5 grill? i'd like to know, if i get a set of these and then in a couple months when i get an m-aero kit, will i still be able to use them.
anyone ever purchase either of these from either of these vendors?

I have an Authentic set of these Breyton Spirits wheels with tires for sale in the classified section. 
I agreed that they are super nice but they can only be fitted on a regular E60, but not my all wheel drive 530xi (which has different offset than the regular E60). So I have to part with them.

The kidneys and grills are the same for standard vs. MTech.
I know, because I changed out my grills on my MTech.
I bought the black grills, and painted the kidneys to match the car's color.
But don't get any ideas and paint your kidneys..... that was MY idea, and no one is allowed to copy it.

I used the original 545 grills in the M Kit's front bumper. It takes the same grills. I also looked at the ETK for the grill part numbers for a 545i as well as an M5 and the part numbers are the same (see pics below). So the grills for the 545i, the M Aero Kit, and the M5 are the same (at least up to the 2005 model). The only grill differences that I'm aware of is the chrome (V8's & M5) vs. black inner sections (pre 2006 I6 engines), but all are the same size and will fit all models. The actual section of the bumper surrounding the grills is different on the M kit's bumper (they protrude more), but the grills themselves are the same.
By the way, on my car I brushed the grills because I don't like chrome but I also wanted something other than black grills because my last car had black grill frames. I like the brushed look a lot. See pics below:

I bought the black shadows for my jet black 550 with aero kit. I then took them to a paint shop and had them painted jet black to match the car. The black shadow color is too dull when its on a jet black car. They need to be painted, it only cost me $50 to get them painted. Everyone that has seen my car before and after says it was a great change, makes the car look more agressive.

thanks for the info's guys, good to know that i can still use the grill/kidney after i upgrade to the m-aero kit. i have a black sapphire e60, looking for maybe the carbon fiber one (tho i checked just now and the bid has ended 
). i'll let you guys know if/when i get one with some pics.
