Hey All, I am now the proud owner of my first 5 series, i have had a company car since i was 18 and have now taken the plunge, started my own business and have brought myself a 530d SE.

Its a beautiful car but needs a few bits done to bring it up to scratch, i have just joined this forum and there are so many great people and tips on here.

So far the ones i have looked at are changing the yellow look angel eyes to a crisp white light (non Xenon) and also Eugines LED eyebrow face lift which looks amazing but i wont try that just yet, unless it is that simple.

So for all the new users and owners can you guys add links to things you have done and changed, im sure you were all in this position once.

Thanking You

Where to begin...rims, tint, engine mods, suspension mods, body kit, big brake kit...and that does even cover the interior... Depends on your budget and how much you want to do. Welcome aboard

Matte black kidney grills are a good place to start. It's a cheap mod that really adds a sportier look to the front end. And Maybe change out the interior lighting to leds. Changing out the angel eyes is a pretty easy mod, it just depends on which option you'd like to go with.

Good luck and welcome to the community!

Thanks Guys

Ref the Grilles do you spray them yourself of purchase a set from the internet?

Also the angel eyes, well i changed the bulbs today and they looked whiter but not very bright, i had a 330 coupe before, which had Xenons but the angels eyes were awesome, really clear and bright. Any Suggestions to bulbs to get the halogens brighter?

Thanks

If you're in a DIY mood, the front grille can be painted in any color you like. You can painted gloss black or try to match the outer edge with your car color. Remove it, sand, primer, then spray paint. Put on several coats of clear just in case and you're done. Some skip the primer stage though. I think it would look good if you paint the outer lip with your car body color and leave the middle part alone or paint it black.

Shadowline trim and blacked out grills seem to be the best inexpensive bang for the buck, though you can look into a Sprint Booster, smoked tail lights/side markers etc. an exhaust system also makes for a great modification too! Really, the sky is the limit!
