Sorry to hear about your issues Rody but the parts look beautiful. Just look at them and hopefully you won't remember the hassles you went through. I love how the Hamann dead pedal fit the factory piece perfectly, not like the imitation ones.

Wow! Looks great rodybmw your choice of color combo for your interior is first class (brushed silver trims, auburn leather, & Hamann accessories)
I'm wondering if there are shop in the states that have the Hamann accessories (hand brakes, etc.) in stock... I would hate to experience similar unexpected complication that you did.
Try www.bavauto.com

I also heard that Hamann recently cut ties with their US Distributor which I think is WheelPower. Wonder if Hollywoodtrash can confirm.

bump.

ECF, i dropped by Wheelpower today. I asked Tim about the rumor about Hamann and Wheelpower and it is false. WheelPower is still the US distributor.

Btw, do you know where the link/story you got the info from. Tim is interested

Hey Tony, what's going on? Anything new with the M5? When are coming down to visit man?

If Hamann has cut ties with WP, that is news to me.

We just received the E92 shipment, and the re-stock of PG3 wheels, and we have our Ferrari shipment leaving next week with the 612 and 599 parts.

hey Chris, I thought you plan to come last night but I heard from VT that you're sick.
Anyhow, I read the same news about Hamann. I believe it's the last edition of Modified Luxury & Exotics magazine?

Yes, it was in MLE. It's in the last paragraph of the article on the Hamann tuned Murcielago and Scaglietti. It says "...Schwarz informed MLE that Hamann Motorsport recently broke ties with its US distributor and currently looking for a new partner....". I assumed that meant WP so I guess I was wrong. What other US distributor do they have??

Rody, the car is looking good ....That's really bad that you had to pay those ridiculous customs fees. I recall there was another vendor on this site I contacted about those Hamann pedals, brake lever and some other badges and they had it in stock ready to ship so I might just stick with them or BavAuto which I assume will avoid end up paying anything on top of the listed price plus any s&h within the States.

That's a good idea....

Out of the almost $400 they charged me only $10 was the US Customs fee, the rest was a bunch of fees charged by the shipping company. By the way, none of it was for the ACTUAL shipping cost because I had alreadly paid that to Hamann beforehand.

So in all honesty, if I did the paperwork and Custom Clearance myself I would have only paid about $10 (the actual Customs fee). That's what I had done a few times in that past and would have done it again if the shipping company employee was honest about the fees when I asked them at the beginning of the whole process.
