Right! I'm getting DPEs like Calton is getting a Nissan! Unfortunately, I have to first deal with the oil leak, then yesterday I noticed that my front suspension tends to crash more than usual, so I'm guessing some control arms have to get replaced. Add to that the fact that my springs are here and I need to install those, but cannot without new shocks, which aren't even sold in the U.S., and with that I'll probably have to replace out all the bushings and mounts and all that crap. And I'll still be rimless... right now, honestly, it all seems a little overwhelming and I'm seriously considering just bailing and getting, like, an Infinity FX lease... (EDIT: Actually, if I do cave in and go back to leasing, I'd prolly shoot for a 335is coupe - just bc there's nothing better for the money IMO) not the fist time I'm having these thoughts, but you know at some point the scales have to tip...

Your ride may be reaching the point where you will be repairing it all the time. I've been there and I hated pouring money into a car that kept breaking down as it aged. 335is is a great car. How about a CPO M5 or M3? Prices are good esp on the glut of CPO M5s coming off leases. Circle BMW had a gorgeous 2008 CPO M5 with SMG in sapphire black when I was there the other day.

Not in position to be dropping $ on the M5 or M3 right now, as I may have some added responsibilities soon. I think a 335 coupe has all of the performance with less costs and higher everyday usability though, so its a great trade-off.

I am concerned that this ride will only keep requiring more and more maintenance. I guess, I'll look into what deals are out there on CPO 335's as well - that may be a better option for me, since I prefer owning to leasing.
