My Ride: Bmw 530d 2004
So I'm possibly going to lower my 530D, which is stock now. I don't have even Sports Package, so I'm riding high. And comfortably.
I have read many threads here about going for Eibach Pro-Kit. It's reasonably priced and said to be so close to OEM ride quality (in comfort) as possible.
Ok, sounds good.
However, these are the things that have kept me back in this issue (so far):
1) Ride comfort. We have very rough roads here due to very varying weather conditions and very high stud tyre using rate during winters (>80%).
2) Will I have problems at winter? I'm waiting for a ~3cm drop (1,2"), so maybe I will have some difficulties in snow.
3) Vibrations possible? Going to keep OEM shocks for now...
Something else? I know these things have been discussed, but I also know there's lot of folks here who just enjoy helping people out over and over again !
Anyone of you gone from non-sport E60 to Pro-Kit? How much drop should I really expect? How about those other things?
I appreciate your input! Thanks!
Edit: One more question for M-Sport guys!. How big is your wheel gap front/rear?

i have a 530d 2006, i have the eibach springs on my car, and no problems, the ride quality was a bit rough on the 20s i had, but now i have OEM M5 19s 285/35 rear, and 255/45 at the front, and the ride has improved, but the lowering kit is very good,
i would reccommend it, especially on the motorways at high speeds, the lower centre of G really helps with steering
Go for it, EIBACH
