After your stock shocks wear (which they will pretty fast with aftermarket springs less so with the Eibachs though due to the mild drop) I'd recommend going with coilovers. You can get Ksports from acuteperformance for really cheap and a self install isn't bad, just time consuming.

TLooks great! I just bought an 07 550i that is perfectly stock and I think wheels and tires are the first order of business. Especially since the run flats are quite near to needing replacement.
What brand and size tires did you choose? I'm capable of doing this kind of DIY, including shocks or coils...so it shouldn't be too expensive!
