Mine arrived too. However looking at it it doesn't seem like an original BMW part. Don't get me wrong, the build quality looks very good except that I can't believe BMW made it. If you've ever bought a BMW spare you'll know what I mean.
Otherwise great stuff. I sent feedback to bimmerbum to add in future listings that this was in fact compatible with the e60/e61.

So far as I know, (I?ve seen it in a accessoiry catalogue) it is genuie.

I?ve bougt un-countable lots of accessories since 1981...but with a look on this item, I?m not able to say this is not genuie.

That is because you didn?t already bought the adapter. A little plastic item for less money but bmw thought, they could get some money extra.

You have to stick that in that hole, then you can ssign a torch or this aux power.

EDIT: For the member, that was not shure if it?s genuie - download the accessorie brochure from e60.net. There is the part no. and also a picture.

I ordered mine from bimmerbum on the 20th so mine should arrive any day.

It sounds like that I will have to pay a trip to bmw to get a an adapter to convert the holes to pins by the sound of it, even though I rang bmw dealer and they said that I should be able to just buy a torch and no plates. The parts man did seem a bit vague though!!

Well it arrived and plugged straight in without needing an adapter, so as long as your connector in the car looks like the one in the picture it will fit.
