Is it good to wrap certain parts on a black car.. roof, trunk lid or good? Will the wrap match the paint???

I don't see why not, although the only advantage I see there is it would protect your paint from the sun. I think the match would depend on the wrap. There are different textures and colors of black out there.

Wait so why would you wrap your jet black car with black gloss wrap? If you are worried about your paint then maintain it with a good sealant like opti coat or ceramic pro. It will cost as much as the wrap but last way longer then a wrap exposed to the sun consistently. just my 2 cents.

Or if you're a DIY'er and you're only doing the roof then you can just grab a small roll for about $50-80 and do it yourself for free. Usually the rolls come with a squeegee, worst case you just buy one for another $1. Then clean/heat gun (or hair dryer)/squeegee out air bubbles yourself in about an hour or so. Much cheaper. Considering it's a roof it'd be easier than trying to deal with the contours of the rest of the body.

I saw this thread before -- https://5series.net/forums/e60-discu...0-530i-124720/. The guy did a great job since the wrap looks like factory paint.
