Wow thanks - exactly what I needed. I think it shows that it needs to be dropped.... So now I have 4 months to figure out which way to go. I would prefer to get something OEM. But it sounds like Eibachs 1" drop might be the way. That coresponds to sport suspension ride hight?

Thanks,
Thomas.

The Eibachs are about 1cm lower than sport suspension. But you'll be allright with them I'm sure. Don't go for OEM sport suspension because it's a very expensive solution.

ps. Oh! And congratulations on your new wheels of course!

ok - how about clearance? Any experience from people in countries with snow? I dropped my e39 with Eibachs - but I think those were 35-40mm - that ended up with me being the snow plow on way to work
Well I live in Canada and we get lots of snow. I have bilstein sport shocks and struts with H&R sport springs (which are about the same drop as eibach sport), I drive my car all year and I don't have any issues with snow. With a set of good winter tires theres no problem, the only time I have issues with plowing snow is if we get a huge amount of snow overnight and the city has not had time to clear the streets I will plow a little. The street my house is on only gets plowed about twice a year and I don't ahve any problems.

Ok - with the e39 it got so bad that I ended up with an engine compartment filled with snow. So I am a bit "gun-shy" with this
