Hey I bought one of those G-meters to do some 0-60 times and such and could not really see how they work? Mine is not arrived yet but how do they calculate the acceleration.

Also they say it measures peak HP-is this pretty accurate or not really something useful?

I would be interested just to compare differences in weather, heatsoaked engines etc on the various statistics. Also would like to get a solid 0-60 sprint since hardly any mags reviewed the 06/07 530is.

I have used a G-meter on my Dad's hemi truck and the power curve was almost scary with how close it was to an actual dyno run we performed on the truck and believe it or not the peak HP was only off 3, that may have been luck, but that gadget is pretty neat.

I just got a 08 550 and am looking forward to putting it to use on it once the car gets broken in!
